Marukan Pretzel Bites with Cheese and Honey Mustard Dipping Sauces

1 Package
Frozen Gluten-Free Pretzel Bites
Cheese Sauce:
2 Tbsp
Unsalted Butter
1 Tbsp
All-Purpose Gluten-Free Flour Blend
1 Cup
Whole Milk
1 Cup
Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1/2 Cup
Gruyere Cheese, shredded
1/2 Cup
Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
1 tsp
Dijon Mustard
To Taste
Kosher or Fine Sea Salt and Pepper
Honey Mustard Sauce:
6 Tbsp
Mayonnaise
6 Tbsp
Dijon Mustard
6 Tbsp
Honey
1/4 - 1/2 tsp
Cayenne Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Bake the pretzel bites per the package directions. 

 

Cheese Sauce:

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. 

Add the flour to the melted butter, stirring constantly to create a roux. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes a light golden color. 

Gradually whisk in the milk to the roux, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to stir until the mixture thickens, usually 3-5 minutes.  

Reduce the heat to low, and gradually add the shredded cheddar, Gruyere, and mozzarella cheeses to the sauce. Stir continuously until the cheeses are fully melted and the sauce is smooth. 

Stir in the Dijon mustard and Marukan Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. 

Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Optional: If you like a bit of heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. 

Continue to stir the sauce over low heat until it reaches your desired consistency. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add a little more milk. 

 

Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce:

In a small bowl, whisk all ingredients together. 

For the best flavor, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the sauce chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.  

 

Serve hot pretzel bites with both sauces.
